Autism & ADHD Assessments for Adults in Erina or via Telehealth across Australia

If you’ve ever felt out of step with the world, exhausted by the need to ‘keep up’ or have spent years masking your struggles - you’re not alone. Many adults reach a point where they begin to wonder: Could I be neurodivergent?

At Elara Psychology Clinic, I offer respectfully, neurodiversity affirming ADHD and Autism Assessments for adults - both in-person in Erina and Australia-wide via telehealth. Whether you’re ready to pursue an assessment or simply curious and beginning to explore your neurotype, this space is here for you.

As a psychologist with both lived and clinical experience, I have a strong interest in supporting adults discovering their neurodivergence later in life - particularly women and individuals with internalised, high-masking presentations who may have been missed or misdiagnosed in childhood. My approach is compassionate, collaborative and grounded in the belief that there is nothing wrong with how your brain works - you simply deserve to understand it more fully.

Assessments are always carried out with sensitivity, care and respect. Together we can explore your strengths, challenges, sensory profile and lived experiences in a way that leads to clarity and self-understanding.

Understanding your neurotype can be a deeply affirming and life-changing experience

Adult ADHD Assessment FAQ’s

  • Beginning an ADHD Assessment can feel like a big step - especially if you’ve spent years masking, coping silently, or wondering why things feel harder than they should. My approach is gentle, collaborative and grounded in neurodiversity affirming trauma informed care. This process is not about finding out ‘what’s wrong’, it’s about helping you understand yourself more fully.

Step 1: Intake Forms & Screening Tools

Before your first appointment, you’ll receive a secure link to complete screener questionnaires and intake forms from the comfort of your own home. These tools help us begin building a picture of your experiences - past and present - and are tailored to support adult assessment.

    Step 2: Initial Consultation

Then we begin with a clinical interview, either in person or at my Erina clinic or via telehealth. In this session, you’ll have time and space to share your story - in your own words, at your own pace. There’s no pressure to prepare. You don’t need to ‘tick all the boxes’ - were here to explore, not judge.

You’ll also complete a standardised evidence-based assessment, to support the diagnosis of ADHD

    Step 3: Feedback Session

When the assessment is complete, we’ll meet again for a comprehensive feedback session, where I’ll talk you through your results and insights in easy to understand language.

    Step 4: Comprehensive Report

You’ll receive a comprehensive report including practical recommendations and suggested next steps.
