NEURO-AFFIRMING THERAPY AND ASSESSMENTS FOR HIGH-MASKING AND LATE DIAGNOSED ADULTS— HERE’S THE THING
Understanding yourself can change the way you relate to yourself and your experiences.
At Elara Psychology Clinic, therapy and assessments are approached with the understanding that many adults have spent years masking, coping, pushing through, and wondering why things often feel harder than they appear to for others.
Support is tailored to the individual and grounded in neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and evidence-based practice, recognising the complexity that can sit alongside ADHD, autism, burnout, anxiety, chronic pain, workplace stress, and life transitions.
This is not about “fixing” who you are. It’s about creating space for greater insight, self-understanding, and support that considers how your brain, nervous system, and lived experiences may interact with daily life.
You don’t need to be fixed.
You deserve to be understood.
Elara Psychology Clinic offers compassionate, evidence-based support for adults navigating ADHD, autism, burnout, trauma, chronic pain, workplace stress, and life transitions.
Based in Erina and offering Telehealth across Australia, Kerry provides therapy and assessments in a way that is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to how your brain, nervous system, and life experiences actually work.
Whether you are exploring neurodivergence for the first time, feeling overwhelmed by the demands of daily life, or trying to rebuild after burnout or injury, the focus is not on changing who you are, but on helping you better understand yourself, reduce distress, and create a more sustainable way forward.
Elara Psychology Clinic is not a high-volume clinic. It is a carefully considered private practice where appointments are unhurried, assessments are thorough, and each person is treated as an individual. Kerry brings 15 years of clinical experience across therapy, diagnostic assessment, chronic pain and nearly 20 years experience in complex workplace injury. She has a particular professional interest in late-diagnosed adults, internalised presentations, and high-masking profiles, especially those that were previously missed, misdiagnosed, or dismissed. WHO I WORK WITHYou may have spent years
holding it all together
Many of the adults I work with are in their 40s and 50s - high functioning on the outside, exhausted on the inside, and finally ready to understand why life has always felt harder than it should. If any of this resonates, you’re in the right place. I support:
ADHD & Autism
High-masking adults
Anxiety, overwhelm & burnout
Workplace stress & psychological injury
Chronic pain
Midlife transitions & perimenopause
Identity & self understanding
Post-diagnosis support
Therapy and support for adults experiencing anxiety, burnout, chronic pain, workplace stress and psychological injury, as well as those navigating ADHD, Autism, life after diagnosis, midlife changes, perimenopause, and later-life wellbeing. Kerry provides compassionate, neuro-affirming and trauma-informed support tailored to each individual’s needs, with a focus on helping clients better understand themselves, build sustainable coping strategies and improve wellbeing.
Kerry draws from a range of evidence-based approaches including adapted CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), tailoring therapy to suit the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
ADHD and Autism assessments for adults delivered in a warm, neuro-affirming and trauma-informed way. Assessments are designed to help you better understand yourself, including your strengths, challenges, sensory experiences, burnout, masking, and the ways your brain may process the world differently. Kerry has a particular interest in supporting high-masking and late-diagnosed adults, including women and those who may have felt overlooked or misunderstood for many years.
Supporting employers to create psychologically safer workplaces through practical, neuro-affirming, and early intervention approaches. With nearly two decades of experience in workers compensation and psychological injury, Kerry brings a deep understanding of the intersection between neurodivergence, mental health, workplace stress, burnout, and long-term employee wellbeing.
Let’s find the right path for you.
Whether you're enquiring about an assessment, joining the therapy waitlist, or exploring employer consulting - email the clinic and Kerry will be in touch personally.
