Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

Elara Psychology Clinic provides adult ADHD and Autism assessments, ongoing therapy, post-diagnostic support, and workplace-focused psychological support. Areas of interest include ADHD, Autism, anxiety, burnout, trauma, chronic stress, workplace injuries, emotional overwhelm, and adjustment difficulties. Services are available via Telehealth across Australia and in person at Erina NSW.

How do I get started?

You are welcome to contact the clinic via the enquiry form or email to arrange a free 15-minute consultation or discuss which service may best suit your needs. Following contact, you will receive information about the assessment or therapy process, fees, and next steps.

What makes you different?

Kerry takes a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and collaborative approach to assessment and therapy. Her work focuses particularly on high-masking and late-identified adults, including women and professionals.

Assessments are designed to look beyond surface-level presentations and consider the broader lived experience, including masking, burnout, sensory overwhelm, workplace functioning, and long-term coping patterns.

Do you assess ADHD and Autism in adults?

Yes. Kerry provides comprehensive ADHD and Autism assessments for adults aged 18+ via Telehealth across Australia and in person at Erina on the Central Coast NSW. Assessments are neuro-affirming, trauma-informed and designed to understand your experiences of the world, rather than be a tick a box exercise.

Are assessments available via Telehealth?

Yes. ADHD and Autism assessments are available Australia-wide via secure Telehealth, as well as in person at Erina NSW. Many clients find Telehealth more comfortable and less overwhelming than attending in person.

Can you prescribe medication?

No. Kerry is a psychologist and does not prescribe medication. However, where appropriate, assessment reports can be provided to your treating GP or psychiatrist to support ongoing care and discussion regarding treatment options.

Do you offer support after an ADHD or Autism assessment??

Yes. For many adults, assessment is only one part of the process. Ongoing therapy and post-diagnostic support can assist with understanding neurodivergence, reducing self-criticism, navigating burnout, emotional regulation, workplace challenges, sensory overwhelm, communication patterns, and building more sustainable ways of functioning in daily life.

Can workplace or university support letters be provided?

Where clinically appropriate, support letters outlining recommendations for reasonable accommodations at work or university may be provided following assessment. Recommendations are individualised and based on assessment or therapeutic findings.

Can Medicare cover ADHD or Autism assessments?

No, at present Medicare rebates do not apply to ADHD or Autism assessments completed by psychologists in private practice. Assessment services are separate from therapy sessions provided under a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
